Hamburger Stroganoff
rec.food.cooking/Siobhan Perricone

Brown the hamburger with onion and garlic (to taste), and some pepper. Drain off the fat (but not all of it) and mix in some flour so that most of the beef is coated with flour (about 1/4 cup at the most). Pour some milk in and start stirring over a medium low heat. This will make a gravy and thicken quite a bit. Probably about two cups of milk will do it. Once it's thickened and heated through remove from the heat and stir in some sour cream, then serve over noodles, toast, or mashed potatoes. You can spice this up with cayenne pepper or any other herbs/spices that catch your fancy.
