Banana Nut Bread
rec.food.cooking/Marcia Bednarcyk
Source: So Quick with Bisquick

This bread is wonderful with butter or softened cream cheese.

3 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup mashed banana (2-3 medium bananas)
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350F. Grease loaf pan. Mix Bisquick, sugar, flour, egg, milk and banana; beat vigorously with spoon 1/2 minute. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool thoroughly before slicing.

(My mother's hint: if the top gets too brown, cover with aluminum foil and turn the heat down to 325F, but don't stop baking the bread.)
