Calzone Dough and Italian Sausage Calzone
Yield: 4 servings

CALZONE DOUGH
2 cups Bisquick original baking mix
1/3 cup hot water --120-130f
1 tbsp vegetable oil

SAUSAGE CALZONE
1/2 lb bulk Italian sausage
1 small onion; chopped
1 small jar sliced mushrooms; drained
1/3 cup pizza sauce
4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg white

CALZONE DOUGH:
Mix baking mix, water and oil until dough forms. Place dough on surface dusted with Bisquick; roll in Bisquick to coat. Knead dough 15-20 times or until smooth and elastic. Roll into 12-inch circle on cloth-covered surface dusted with baking mix. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

ITALIAN SAUSAGE CALZONE:
Heat oven to 450F. Cook sausage in 10-inch skillet, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in onion, mushrooms and pizza sauce; keep warm. Prepare Dough. Layer mozzarella cheese, sausage mixture and Parmesan cheese on half of circle to within
1-inch of edge. Brush edge of dough lightly with water. Fold dough over filling; press edge with fork to seal. Brush with egg white. Bake about 15 min. or until golden brown. Cool 5 min. Cut into wedges.
