No Knead, No Fat Loaf I found this on TKL in the daily menu section, makes a dense, mosit loaf.
1 package active dry yeast 1/4 cup warm water 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup skim milk 1 1/4 cups white flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 cup oat bran 1/4 teaspoon baking soda Cornmeal
(NOTE: 2 1/2 cups white flour can be used instead of the above three-ingredient combination)
Mix yeast with warm water and sugar; let stand for 5 minutes. When yeast is softened, add salt and milk. Stir in 1 cup of flour to which the baking soda has been added. Beat well for 2 minutes. Stir in rest of flour to make stiff batter. Spoon into 4 by 8-inch loaf pan that has been coated with cooking spray and sprinkled with cornmeal. Sprinkle top with cornmeal. Cover. Let rise in warm place for 45 minutes or until doubled. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
