Garbanzo Soup (Una Buena Garbanzada)
serves 6

1 pkg. garbanzos beans
2 chorizos, cut diagonally in chunks
5 cup water
1 bay leaf
2 smoked ham hocks
3 garlic cloves
1 packet of Sazon Golla with Culantro and achiote
1/2 red sweet bell pepper, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp. McCormick's Soup Greens
1 tsp. McCormick's Spice Blends - Key West
1/2 tsp. Badia Complete Seasoning
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Cover the beans with water and let soak overnight. Next day rinse, add the fresh 5 cups o water and put the beans in the pressure cooker with 3 garlic cloves, 1 bay leaf, 2 ham hocks and the cut up chorizo. Pressure cook on medium for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, make sofrito: saute the chopped onion, bell pepper and garlic in oil till onion is golden. Add to soup and stir. Take out ham hock and cut up into large pieces. Keep bone in soup for maximum flavor. Add the seasonings, Golla Sazon and stir. Simmer for 25 minutes to thicken.
