Hello Daphne,
I gave out the instructions for making the meatsauce and the meatballs. Some people like their sauce with meatballs in it, others, like my DH, likes meatsauce. That is, the meat is crumbled up in the sauce. You pick either one. When I make the meatballs, I also add browned sausage to the sauce.
Sorry if the instructions confused you, let me break it down for you here so it is easier.
MEATBALLS: 1 lb. ground sirloin 1 onion, minced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 c. fresh chopped parsley 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs 1 egg, beaten 1 t. salt 1/2 t. black pepper 1 t. Italian seasoning 1/4 t. oregano 2 T. olive oil
Mix ground sirloin, onion, garlic, parsley, Parmesan, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper and herbs. You can add a little water if too dry. Shape into meatballs and brown in olive oil before adding to sauce.
MEATSAUCE:
Brown the sirloin, drain and set aside. Continue making the sauce as directed below and instead of adding meatballs, add the browned meat and stir to blend well.
Hope you try it as it is the BEST spaghetti you will ever try!!
Good Luck!! Gina
