Cream Cheese and Pie Filling Dessert rec.food.cooking/LMWJohnson
Here is a recipe that I got from my grandmother. Usually, I make it with blueberry pie filling as the topping, but you can substitute any other flavor pie filling or pudding instead. It has been one of the favorites in our family for years!
Mix together: 2 cups self rising flour 2 sticks (1 cup) margarine 1 cup nuts (chopped finely)
Bake in a 9x13-inch pan for 30 minutes, allow to cool.
Cream together: 8 oz cream cheese 3 cups confectioners' sugar
Spread on cooled crust. Chill.
Spread small cool whip container over cream cheese mix. Top with pie filling or pudding (made according to package directions). Chill before serving.
