This is our traditional Christmas morning breakfast dish.
Eggs Royale Casserole
Serves 4 Prep. 20 minutes Baking 55 – 60 mins.
2 cups croutons (multigrain works best) 1 cup cheese grated 4 eggs slightly beaten 2 cups milk (preferably buttermilk) 1/2 tsp. dried mustard 1/4 tsp. pepper 10 slices bacon (cooked)
Combine croutons and cheese in bottom of a greased 2 quart casserole. Mix other ingredients (except bacon) until well blended; pour over croutons and cheese. Crumble bacon on top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325F for 55-60 minutes.
