Here is a terrific recipe that I came up with, based on the idea of Rice Krispie treats. IT's low in fat, and low in calories compared to other granola bars.
Melt: 1 big package of marshmallows with: 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Stir in: 2 cups rice krispies 1 cup dry rolled oats 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup dried fruit that you like some nuts (optional, raises calories and fat, as I'm sure you know).
Mix it around really well, then press with non-stick spatula or wax paper into a baking dish. Allow to cool completely then cut it up and enjoy!! On average the calories are about 150, depending on the size. |
