Recipe: Hot Spiced Cherry Cider (using cherry jello, crock pot)

HOT SPICED CHERRY CIDER

3 1/2 quarts apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
1 (3 ounce) package cherry-flavored gelatin*

In a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker, add cinnamon sticks to apple cider and stir.

Cover crock pot and heat on HIGH 3 hours.

Stir in (dry) gelatin. Cover crock pot and cook on HIGH 1 more hour, until gelatin dissolves, stirring once or twice.

Turn on LOW to keep warm. Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.

*For a more intense cherry flavor, add an additional package of gelatin

Makes 10 to 15 servings
