Recipe: Weight Watchers Oriental Soup (WW points=0)

2 cans (14.5 oz each) fat-free chicken broth
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 large scallion, sliced (use both green and white parts)
1 cup frozen snow peas, cut in half OR 1 cup frozen French-cut green beans
1 cup fresh bean sprouts
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 teaspoon dried ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Combine broth, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, scallions, and peas or green beans in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for five minutes.
Add bean sprouts, mushrooms, and ginger. Cover and simmer until all vegetables are tender, about 5-10 minutes more. Add salt and pepper to taste.
