ISO: german potato soup receipe had browned flour and vinegar in it.

Misc.
My grandmother who is polish used to make this soup and sadly took the receipe to her grave. I remember her browning flour and also using onion and vinegar. There was no milk in this receipe. It reminded me alot of german potato salad but in soup form. Any one have this receipe I would greatly appreciate it.
Happy Holidays.
