Hi Jeanne -

Misc.
He's doing very well - he's up and around, now walking without walker or canes! He continues to have sporadic good and bad days - I think when he has a really good day and is up more, then he pays for it the next day. His main complaint is pain that shoots down into his thighs unexpectedly as he's walking - which almost makes his legs give way under him.

He had his first post-op doctor's appt. yesterday and all is well, just a matter of time for things to heal they say. He still is not allowed to bend, twist or lift over 5# for the next 6 weeks! That is the hardest part for him.

He's off all pain meds, too, just on anti-inflammatory medication that he took previously for his arthritis.

Thanks for asking about him! Next week it's me and my eyes - getting my cataracts done. I've had Crohn's Disease since I was a teenager, and was on some fairly lenghy courses of prednisone, which can produce early, very rapid onsiet of cataracts - which is what happened over this summer. As Elly says - what golden years? They're the "rusty years"

Love, June
