Recipe(tried): Plum Pudding similar to the Crosse & Blackwell
Holidays, CelebrationsRe: Recipe: Plum Pudding - Dearest Judy: This is supposed to be similar to the Crosse & Blackwell
From: Gladys/PR, 12-24-2003
Thank you a million Gladys/PR! Crosse and Blackwell Pudding has been a tradition in my family since my Great Grandmother quit making it from scratch on her wood burning stove!
For a few years now I have not been able to find it - it is my most treasured Thanksgiving and Christmas tradition. Thanks to you, I get to continue the tradition and make it from scratch!!
I did not have brandy so I substituted whiskey - it slightly changes the taste - but other than that, this recipe is perfect and looks, smells and almost tastes exactly like the Crosse & Blackwell pudding.
Many thanks and blessings!
