ISO: Christmas Star Cookies (cut-out cookies, 1970's or earlier)

Misc.
I'm trying to find a recipe for a Christmas cookie we used to make every year, and somehow the recipe has been lost. They are a very soft, crumbly, buttery cookie, rolled out and cut into the shape of a star, glazed with a powdered sugar and orange juice glaze, then sprinkled with multi-colored sugar beads. I believe there was also orange juice in the dough. The cookies came out a very pale, almost white color when cooked, they're not from a typical sugar cookie recipe. I think this recipe came from a magazine, at least in the 1970s if not earlier. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
