ISO: Sourdough Starter with potato flakes

I have a sourdough starter recipe that my mother got for a friend, but it does not have on it how to start it. The feed directions are: 1 cup starter, 3/4 Cup Sugar, 3 tb. potato flakes, 1 cup water, 1 cup flour. I sure would love to have the recipe for the starter. If anyone know how to do it please ley me know or where I could look.
