Recipe(tried): Chef Boyardee pizza sauce has something else... Romano maybe?

Misc.
I too love the original Chef Boyardee Pizza, and I consider it one of my main comfort foods. I was so alarmed when they changed the recipe that I wrote a complaint to the company. Kim's recipe is almost there, but not quite. I happened to have a can of the old original from the Chef Boyardee Cheese Pizza kit which I've been saving for just the right occasion. I opened it up and compared it to Kim's. Kim's recipe is very close and certainly much better that Chef Boyardee's new recipe. But there is definately a cheese flavor cooked into the sauce itself, perhaps Romano. The original sauce had a bit of oil in it that I think is from cheese too. Also, the original does not quite have a much oregano as you might think. As for my treasured can of original sauce, it goes into the freezer, so that I can pull it out for comparison from time to time.
