Recipe: Banana Split Salad (freeze ahead, using cream cheese and Cool Whip)

BANANA SPLIT SALAD

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (10 ounce) package sliced frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed
2 medium bananas, chopped
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 cup pecans, chopped

Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large mixing bowl.

Stir in pineapple, strawberries and bananas. Fold in whipped topping.

Pour into a 13-by-9-inch dish lightly oiled or sprayed with nonstick spray. Cover; freeze until firm.

Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving. Top with pecans.

Makes 10-12 servings
