Recipe: Mississippi Mud Bars

MISSISSIPPI MUD BARS

1st Layer:

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts

2nd Layer:
1 c. powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. Cool Whip
1 tsp. vanilla

3rd Layer:
2 small boxes chocolate
instant pudding
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

4th Layer:
remainder of Cool Whip
Hershey bar
crushed pecans

Mix ingredients for 1st layer, press into 13 x 9 x
2-inch dish. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees until
golden brown. Let cool.
Mix ingredients for 2nd layer and put on top of 1st
layer. Reserve remainder of 9 ounce container of Cool Whip.
Mix ingredients for 3rd layer and put on top of 2nd
layer.
Spread remaining Cool Whip on top of chocolate pudding.
Grate Hershey and sprinkle on top, also crushed pecans.
Refrigerate.
