OLD-FASHIONED MAPLE BREAD
FOR A 1-LB LOAF:
3/4 cup milk
4 teaspoons margarine
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
2 cups bread flour
4 teaspoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon active dry yeast (or bread machine yeast)
FOR A 1 1/2 LB LOAF:
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons margarine
3/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon active dry yeast (or bread machine yeast)
Select loaf size. Add ingredients to machine and process according to manufacturer's directions.
Note: One teaspoon yeast is recommended for either loaf size.
Makes 1 loaf
