ISO: canning garlic??????

I bought a bulk jar of garlic cloves all ready to do something with.anyone know how to preserve them? canned roasted or pickled mabye??? I have about 1/2 gallon jar full freash cleaned cloves. thanks for any ideas!!!!!! Nancy
