Thank You: Icebox Cake - This brings tears to my eyes!

Misc.
I sit here, with tears in my eyes. As the official "baker" of the family, it was asked of me to bring dessert to my in-law's for Father's Day... I had no intention of even leaving my home that day, as we just lost my beloved Dad only a few months ago... Sad and bewildered, I typed in "easy summer desserts" and ICE BOX CAKE was the top choice... ICE BOX CAKE! Of course! Daddy's absolute favorite dessert! Every weekend from May through September, Daddy would get up early on Saturday and make his famous ice box cake. We would happily gobble it up, and on the rare occasions there were any leftovers, well, it was summer and ice box cake was a respectable summer breakfast the next morning! Thank you, The Recipe Link, and those of you who posted, for helping me to make sure my Daddy is with us this Father's Day!
