Idea for "ISO: Discount jars and lids"

Misc.
Well, where I find a good number of my canning jars is at thrift/resale/second-hand stores, like Goodwill, Salvation Army, hospital, etc, or at yard/garage sales. In one store, I got an entire case of quart jars for $2!! Mostly I'll find a jar or two, sometimes 5 or 6, for about 10-25 cents each. Of course I have to get new lids/seals but even still, it's cheaper than buying new. Generally I'll give them a casual once-over, but once I get them home and can examine them more thoroughly, any that aren't suitable for canning, I'll use them in crafts (potpourri jars, etc). Sometimes you can find other accessories at these places too, such as lifters, funnels, etc. Hope this helps! HUGS to all! ;D
