Hi Gina - I made Rugelach several years ago back when I had more ambition than I seem to this year - I love those things! I made cinnamon/brown sugar and also apricot ones.

One of my Jewish friends also makes a brisket that is candied - long slow cooking with some sort of sweet/sour sauce she makes for it. It's wonderful, too. Don't have the recipe for it, but I can see if she'll give it to me.

Tonight, we went out and I actually wore a fleece sweater/jacket for the first time - it's nice to get the change of seasons, even down here further south from you. It usually only lasts about 4 or 5 weeks right around Christmas and a few weeks afterwards - then it warms back up into the high 70s or low 80s again.

I'll look forward to the photos of your Rugelach!
