Recipe: char siu pork chow fun

Misc.
char siu pork chow fun

Box Fettucine Noodles
2 handfuls of bean sprouts
1/2 of cabbage - chopped
1 or 2 heads of broccoli - sliced
1 or 2 bunch green onions - chopped
1 bunch chinese parsley (cilantro) - chopped
Char siu pork (see directions below)
salt and pepper to taste
MSG (optional)
sesame oil

Use NOH's brand charsiu dry mix for pork butt, follow directions. You can usually find the mix in oriental stores. Slice char siu into bite size pieces once cooked. Or you can use whatever meats you want to use for this dish. Bring a large pot of salted water to boiling, add noodles and cook. In a steamer add broccoli, cabbage and bean sprouts until soft. Or use a pot with boiling water and parboil veggies. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking, salt and pepper to taste.

Once noodles are done, drain, and pour into large serving platter or cheap tinfoil pan. Pour sesame oil over the noodles and mix. Add salt, pepper and MSG to taste and mix well. Add parboiled vegitables to noodles and mix well. Season to taste again. Add the chopped green onions and chopped chinese parsley and mix. Layer the sliced charsiu on the noodle mixture and again garnish with the chinese parsley and chopped green onions.
