Recipe: Cranberry Apple Bake (using oats and pecans)

CRANBERRY APPLE BAKE

3 Granny Smith apples, cut into pieces
2 cups cranberries
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
FOR THE TOPPING:
1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats, uncooked
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted
Ice cream (for serving)

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a baking dish.

In bowl, mix together apples, cranberries and white sugar. Spoon into baking dish.

In same bowl, mix together oats and brown sugar, flour and pecans. Stir in melted butter. Sprinkle oatmeal mixture over the top of the apples.

Bake 45 minutes until bubbly and apples are tender.

Serve warm or cold with a scoop of ice cream.
