Recipe(tried): Fat Free Tortillas

Misc.
Here's my recipe for home made tortillas, they are fat free and still moist and delicious. My husband is a mexican tortilla expert, he hates the cheap ones in the stores and love the fattening one the most, but he has to admit these are the best torillas he has ever eaten! I didn't tell him they were fat free until after he asked me to make them several times! Hehehehe!

Hope you enjoy!

Fat Free Tortillas

3 cups all porpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup warm water

Stir dry ingrediants together in mixing bowl.
Add water gradually to form a crumbly dough, turn out on kneading board andknead until smooth. Divide into 12 peices (for large tortillas) shape each into balls then cover lightlyin plastic and let rest 15 minutes. Do not skip this 15 minute rest period, or dough will not roll out thin.

After resting dough, roll out each ball as thin as possible, the thinner the better!

Place each tortilla on a dry preheated (375 degrees) griddle or heavy wide frying pan. Cook just long enough on each side to blister, then immedialty place them in a covered container or wrap in a dish towel, serve while warm.

These can be refrigerated and frozen too, and they taste as good as the day you made them fresh. Best of all they are fat free!
