Recipe(tried): Ideas for Birthday Party - Kid Finger Foods
Misc.My last 10 year-old party was a huge hit with:
kid friendly finger sandwiches filled with bologna, peanut butter and banana, ham/turkey and mayonnaise.
Have a big bowl filled with popcorn, pretzels, peanuts, and M&M's.
Pitchers of blue lemonade (food coloring added to any powdered drink mix).
Cupcakes instead of a large birthday cake can be put together on a platter with a candle in each one to look like a large burthday cake. Then when your son blows out the candles each guest can take the cake they want. Serve with individual ice cream cups.
Are you doing this during the day? If so the above would work.
Or, let them all make their own pizzas with pre-made pizza dough rounds, marinara, pepperoni, cheese, sausage, olives, etc.
If you are doing this at night you could do a camp-fire weiner roast with hot potatoes they can fill with the assortment of cheese, sour cream, etc. followed by smores.
Kid meals are fun. Hope this helps. Penny
