Recipe: Instant oatmeal uses

Tips and Tricks - Cooking
Judy, what a good idea! I'll have to remember that in the future - it never hurts to sneak in some extra nutrition. LOL

I've never tried this, but it seems that since most instant oatmeal flavors include sugar and spices it would make a good topping for a fruit crisp. Cut in 1 or 2 tablespoons of cold butter or margarine per packet, then spread over a pan of fruit filling. Most recipes I've seen call for baking at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, or until browned and bubbly.
