Ivor's Favorite Butterscotch Candy

This recipe is from DH's Mom and is his brother's favorite.

2 cups sugar
3/4 cup margarine
1 (6 ounce) can evaporated milk
1 (4 ounce) package butterscotch pudding mix(NOT instant)
3 1/2 cups quick oats

Combine sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add pudding mix. Add oats. Cool 15 minutes. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
