Recipe(tried): More Crockette Recipes for Stella
Misc. MORE CROCKETTE RECIPES FOR STELLAI have a few additional good recipes with my crockette that I want to share with all of you. If you still are not the owner of one, don’t hesitate because it is a worthy investment. I know that Stella and my friend Carol are also enthusiasts of the appliance, so, I hope that they will enjoy these recipes.
MEAT LOAF
1 carrot, peeled and shredded in the processor
1 sausage, removed from the casings and ground
1 small onion, processed
red pepper, chopped and processed
1 garlic clove sliced and processed with the other vegetables
1 lb ground beef
1 egg lightly beaten
cup quick cooking oats
3 tb dry onion soup mix
salt and pepper to taste
tsp thyme
cup catsup
Combine the carrot, sausage, onion, red pepper, garlic clove, ground beef, egg, oats, soup mix, 3 tb catsup, thyme and salt and pepper to taste. Shape into a loaf; top with remaining catsup. Place in lightly oiled crockette (bottom and sides), Cover and cook 8 to 10 hours. With this recipe you can prepare 2 loaves. Freeze the other for another dinner. Cover it with foil paper, and when ready to use defrost for 1 hour before cooking.
CHICKEN IN A POT
1 small carrot, thinly sliced
celery stalk, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced or chopped
3 chicken pieces without skin or fat
2 tb chopped prosciutto or any other ham
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp dry parsley leaves
5 sliced mushrooms

Place vegetables in the bottom of the appliance. Arrange chicken on top, add the prosciutto or ham, the paprika, parsley, salt and pepper and the wine or Balsamic Vinegar over all. Cover and cook 7 to 10 hours. Delicious!
Both dishes can be served with mashed potatoes or white rice and some frozen vegetables, saut with some butter, a tb of wine and salt and pepper to taste. Add a pinch of flour to the vegetables to thicken the gravy.
Buen Provecho!
