Recipe(tried): Hooters (Copycat) Wing Sauce - 3 Mile Island Sauce

This is really close to what they sell in a bottle, and based on their own ingredients list and examining the sauce up close. You can see the ground cayenne added and you also see the minced pickled jalapeno peppers (e.g. bottled jalapeno sliced at your grocery store) You can get the Hooters 3 Mile sauce for $3.00 per bottle plus shipping. Not sure what Franks goes for but it might be cheaper to just get Hooters in this instance. The taste is right on. You can make the equivalent of Franks. You basically take ripe red Cayenne peppers, mince them up deseeded in a food processor and add salt and then put them in a nonreactive container and let them age for 4 to 6 weeks. Then add vinegar and strain the liquid out.

3 MILE ISLAND SAUCE
(Makes 15 2/3 Tbsp. = .97 Cups)

12 Tbsp. Franks Red Hot*
1 Tbsp. ground cayenne pepper
4 tsp. minced pickled Jalapeno Pepper (1/8-inch pieces)
4 tsp. Tabasco Sauce
