Dear Anita , I've been making these for several years and they are always
great!!!
Rugulach
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup unsalted butter, softened **
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
FILLING:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted ( I use slightly more)
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 TBSP. cinnamon
3/4 cup chopped nuts ( pecans, walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts)

Beat the cram cheese, butter and salt until smooth. On low speed beat in the
flour. Divide the dough into four portions. Flatten each portion into a disk
and wrap with plastic wrap ; chill dough disks at least 1 hour or up to 1
week.
Let dough soften slightly, roll out disk into a 10" circle.
Combine the cinnamon and sugar.
Brush circle with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture,then
sprinkle with some chopped nuts.
Cut the circle into eight wedges , and , starting at wide end, roll up
each wedge ( like a crescent roll). Bend each cookie into crescent shape.
Place onto an ungreased cookie sheet.Bake cookies at 350 F. for 25-30 minutes
or until cookies are light golden brown.
While still warm, brush tops of cookies with remaining melted butter and sprinkle tops with remaining cinnamon/sugar mix.
