Recipe: School Cafeteria Pizzaburgers (1960's)

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound spiced luncheon meat, ground
1/2 pound cheese, grated
Catsup
4 hamburger buns (for serving)
Brown ground beef. Remove from heat. Add luncheon meat and cheese and mix. Add enough catsup to make it a spreadable-consistency. Spread on both halves of the buns.
Bake open face for 10 to 12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bun is slightly toasted.
For larger quantity, half tomato sauce can be used instead of all catsup. Serve open face.
Makes 8 servings
