Recipe(tried): The Sunday Funnie and Colleen's Lemonade
Misc.Happy Sunny Sunday,
"If criticism had any real power, the skunk would be extinct by now."
--Anon.
I am blessed to have two girlfriends who have raised the art of hospitality to
legendary levels--Ann in New Hampshire and Colleen in Illinois. Colleen makes a
gallon of this Character Lemonade every weekend, and we all guzzle it down like
the little piggies we are.
Character Lemonade
Take 1/2 gallon of water, 10-20 sprigs of fresh mint leaves, and one tea bag.
Heat this mixture to boiling. Then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Strain the beverage and add 1 can of frozen lemonade and 2/3 to 1 cup sugar.
Add water to make one gallon. Refrigerate and serve cold. Garnish with fresh
mint leaves. Been spring cleaning this week. I'm a big clipper of funny cartoons and witty
articles, so I've run across a lot of those, cleaning out Tupperware keepers
this week. It feels so odd not doing schoolwork. Darling Daughter got the nice
bookshelves, so we cleaning out books too. My rule--if you haven't opened the
book in 14 years, then give it away...
