Recipe(tried): Velveeta Stuffed Cheese Log (1980's)

This is an old but easy Cheese Log from 80's.

Two sheets of plastic wrap.

Room Temp Velveeta cheese brick. l lb. or half a lb. size....start out half pd. for 6 people.

Cut into cheese and make each slice about thick 1 inch slices, Place on bottom sheet of plastic wrap.

Lay a 9 by 10 log shape top with plastic wrap. Use a rolling pin or such, roll out the base to be about 1/8 in thick. Keep plastic wrap on top. easier so nothing sticks.

Spread softened cream cheese to about 1/8 inch from corner of long side of flattened cheese. I use a mixer to soften and spreadable OR u can now buy soft tubs of cream cheese.

On one side of log of cream cheese layer, place diced green chilies (canned but drained) and chopped can of black olives. Place the olives on either side of the green chilies.

Take plastic wrap and roll tightly the cheese roll to the end. twist ends to plastic wrap.
PLACE IN FRIDGE TO CHILL ...4 TO 6 HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.

UNWRAP CAN SLICE PINWHEELS OR LEAVE AS IS FOR PEOPLE TO SLICE AS THEY CHOSE.

* I ROLL IN FRESH PARSLEY OR FINE CHOPPED SALTED NUTS BEFORE SLICING OR SERVING WHOLE LOG. there's NEVER ANY LEFTOVERS.
