ISO: Date cookies sliced on angle

Misc.
My grandmother used to make these soft chewy dark cookies that were sliced into bars in angles. I believe they had dates in them - I know that sugar was sprinkled on top. The cookies were somewhat flat for a bar cookie. I think they were shaped into strips then sliced, not just spread out in a pan. Does anyone have anything similar?????? Thank you in advance so much.
