ISO: Jamaican Rum Cake - what is browning?

Misc.
I want to make a Jamaican Rum Cake for our seasonal employees from Jamaica and every recipe I look at calls for a few tablespoons of 'browning'. What is this and where do I get it? My cake has to be totally authentic so if anyone has any tips I would appreciate them.

Thanks
