ISO: San Pedro High School Coffee Cake / Square Rolls (1970's)

I don't know what year you graduated, but when I attended San Pedro High School in the '70 we called them "Square Rolls". And this recipe isn't even close, although it is very good!! The original was very light in texture, and had crispy crumbs and icing on top. Delicious!
