Looking for a recipe for a Deep Dish Bread Pudding. My dad remembers a very thick layer of custard on the bottom. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
This is a recipe I have made for years. Hope you like it!

OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING

10 slices of bread, diced or torn
1 quart of milk
4 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz. can) fruit cocktail, drained (optional)
ground cinnamon

Spray 9 by 13 inch pan with vegetable spray. Place bread cubes in pan.

Whisk together all the other ingredients except for the fruit cocktail. Pour over diced bread. If using fruit cocktail, add this to the pan and spread throughout. Sprinkle cinnamon all over mixture in pan.

Bake at 325 degrees F for about 1 hour or til toothpick tests clean. Store any leftovers in fridge.
