Does anyone have the fruit dip recipe from Jason's Deli? Thanks so much for your time!!
Rosanne / Denver
It's equal parts of honey and sour cream.

I've been trying to figure this out for a long time. I don't think it's honey with the sour cream, it's some type of liquor, it even says so on their menu. I'd love to find out, it's delicious!

Hi,

Isn't it maddening when you are trying to figure out a recipe you can't get your hands on?

But with patience and perseverance, you will get it.

Here are some hints to try to help you...you said it was some sort of liqueur. If it has an almond flavor, it could be Amaretto. If it has a hazelnut flavor, it could be Franjelico. There are many fruit flavored liqueurs out there. Most fruit dips are made with equal shares of sour cream and cream cheese and then enhanced with flavors.

Good Luck! Gina

Jason's Deli Fruit Dip

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup light brown sugar
4 teaspoons Grand Marnier Liquor
Robert R., Houston
You guys are lucky I just happened to run into this thread. I worked for Jason's Deli for a couple of years during high school. I never made the fruit dip, but I was often witness to the process. It's mainly just sour cream, brown sugar, and Grand Marnier. I'm not sure if there are any other ingredients, but I know it doesn't have any honey in it.

I have asked at my local Jason's for the recipe. Was told they couldn't give it to me, but they did offer that it has only three ingredients:

brown sugar
sour cream

and

triple sec

Is that the wrong liquor? I don't have either that or Grand Marnier in my pantry and I have no idea how they compare to each other.

Are they interchangeable?

Hi!

I have made the fruit dip and it takes sour cream, brown sugar and Grand Marnier, I used the recipe that is posted here.

You need to go to a liqour store and buy the little bottle of Grand Marnier for a few dollars.

It is delicious!

I love Jason's deli fruit dip! I don't know the recipe, but I have one that is similar and also very yummy. Here's my recipe...

6 oz. Lucerne plain yogurt
4 tablespoons Splenda

... and then stir it up and serve with strawberries and cantaloupes. It tastes 90% similar to Jason's.
