I also have a yummy cakE made with cloves with fruit in it -raisins and dates.It is called compromise cake made at christmas time instead of fruitcake.It uses 1/2 t cloves,cinnamon,and nutmeg along with cocoa and aplesauce .It is a magnificent moist cake.
