Kate, about coffee

Misc.
Kate - I've struggled to find a coffee I like at home. When you research coffee the source of beans as well as the roast seem to be important, but when you go shopping most times you find a blend of beans with a name that contains little information. I have found that I don't like dark roasts, they are bitter, but they are popular so a lot of coffee shop beans are too bitter for me at home.

I went back to basics and have gone to coffee shops that sell specific beans and when I find one I like I go and find a similar one at the supermarket, and that has been pretty successful. I've also found that my home grinder does not grind the beans finely enough for a drip coffee maker so I grind them at the store.

I found this site to be a great starting point:
http://cnn.com/HEALTH/indepth.food/beverages/coffee/beans.html

I hope some of this helps!
