Leftover Sangria/Punch Idea

I often poach pears in a combination of red wine, strawberries, and cranberries with a few other ingredients...vanilla, fresh lemon juice. They are luscious.

Why not scoop out the fruit and use some of it to poach pears or apples. You might want to add some ginger, cinnamon sticks, vanilla, lemon juice or lemon zest also...just suggestions.
