Misc.
Hello Lynda,

Try and see if one of your library branches subscribes to the magazine as it is well worth it.

The eggplant Manicotti was absolutely superb!! I will make it one of my keepers and I think if one were to have an Italian-type celebration, it would be wonderful on a buffet table. I willbe enjoying some for lunch today....

About Asiago cheese...

It is an Italian cheese, originally it was made from sheep's milk, but now this straw-colored cheese is now produced in Wisconsin. Aged Asiago is much preferred to the young type which can sometimes be bitter. It is usually grated over pasta. It used to be that you could only find cheeses such as this one at specialty markets but more and more, local grocers are carrying these delicacies for us.

Asiago cheese has gained popularity here in the States lately. We have a delicious bread bakery/cafe that can be found in several states called Panera and they make a delicious bagel with Asiago on the top. Their bagels are huge and have an assortment of yummy toppings.

Well Lynda, I knopw you are probably planning your little birthday bash and getting excited as the day approaches. Please tell us all about it after the event...it will be just wonderful!!!

Happy Cooking!! Gina
