Pat/AR, If you do mean miso ...(more)

Misc.

it is a fermented soybean paste. It comes in many varieties, but those most
common are red and white. The white is sweeter and more mildly salty while the
red has a richer, deeper flavor and is saltier. Not sure what you are using it
for so, I can't recommend one over the other. If you can't find it in your
grocery store (I can't get it in our local Shoprite), you can definetely find it
in a health food or natural food store. If you have any questions about it, I'd
be happy to help. Now, I just hope that it is miso, and not mismo, that you are
asking about. Good Luck.
