re: Canning recipe for Chicken and rice - Sorry, it is unsafe

I am sorry, but it is very unsafe to can anything with rice or dumplings. It puts you at a risk for botulism. No low acid foods are safe to add anything that would be starchy.
The only things that can be safely canned with thickeners is jam and pie fillings.
