If you don't feel like using it as a frosting right away, simply keep it in a jar in the fridge and use it periodically for hot fudge sauce. I make it and it lasts forever (or not at all if we have lots of ice cream and fudge sauce). Simply heat it 1 min. or so in the microwave, and it's pourable again.
