Re: ISO ginger lemon iced tea
Misc. Hey Page, we're meeting on another site!! I have made plain ginger tea to help settle a long-lasting cough. I peel the ginger, and then just coarsely grate it into a cup, can't tell you how much, it's an experiment (you like those challenges!!) just be aware that too much spoils it, it bites!!!
So I don't see why you couldn't just add the lemon as you would making fresh lemonade, after you've steeped the ginger part separately. When I do just the ginger tea, I use honey as the sweetener. Boy, does that taste good on a cold winter day when you've had a cough for a week or two!
I don't know that I'd use honey if I was making ginger-lemon iced tea tho. Sugar (another Page fav.) would taste better I think.
