re: Yummy Yummy and Goody Goody sauces

Misc.
I wanted to make these sauces for my son who LOVES Arigato's. I made the sauces according to the directions. I bought Hellman's (not my usual brand though) I even spent the $5.99 for a pound of sweet miso to use a tablespoon (Yes, I LOVE my son) But I'll be honest. I'm disappointed, I don't think they taste anything CLOSE to the real thing. I remember the Goody Goody as also having onions and garlic and maybe a hint of ginger. The Yummy Yummy, just doesn't seem to have much taste to it at all. Yes, I made them a day in advance to the flavors could blend. Look for me again in the future. The next time I go to Arigato's I'm going to get plenty of the sauces to go with my leftovers and take them apart and try to recreate them.
